Are you willing to put in the time and effort to create a thriving online business? Building an online business is as demanding as a brick and mortar. I’m not talking about putting in a few hours a week and hoping it works. I’m talking about putting in 8 hours a day until your online business is successful.
Are you willing to write a blog a day over the next month to produce the content that your website needs? Are you willing to be on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Pinterest, and Snapchat? To be successful you need to be willing to go where you potential customers are already hanging out. Once you are there are you willing to participate in the conversation?
Building a business takes an investment. Online businesses are no different. You might not have a lease payment, but you need to be willing to buy traffic (Google Adwords or Facebook Ads) to build a customer base. If you aren’t willing to spend advertising dollars, you have a hobby, not a business.
I don’t want you to waste your time if you aren’t willing to put in the time and monies needed to build a successful business. I believe if you have a passion and are willing to commit to your business, you can be successful in the online world.
It’s my desire for you to be successful. I want you to win! I’m not going to lie to you. It’s not easy being an entrepreneur or a business owner. But, if you are willing to work as hard for you as you would at a job, you will have the ride of your life.
If you want to be successful with your own business, make a commitment to yourself and make a commitment to your family.
Today’s the day that you start writing a blog post each day. You don’t necessarily need to post it. But you need to write that blog post. You need to start dedicating time to write for your business. Make a goal between 300 – 700 words each day. Will you make a commitment to do this for the next 30 days? You don’t need to post the blogs on your website, but if you are in the place where you’re ready to start posting blogs – post them.
Here’s a tip for you if you don’t enjoy writing: use Microsoft Word’s dictation feature. I use it to churn out over 500 words in less than 15 minutes.
For you to sell either a product or service, the key is for you to give your customer base value. Find out what they want to know, and give them the answer without them having to ask the question. Then you need to give them 2 – 3 answers to the questions they haven’t thought to ask. You will close more deals than you can imagine.
I’m going to continue to preach value. Give value throughout your website, throughout social media, and in your day-to-day conversations with people. You will be rewarded.
