One of the first things that I share with people when taking on a new project is that we are running a marathon and not a sprint.  Expecting business saving / growing results in 30 days isn’t reasonable. A 6 – 12 month plan of action should be expected to create an Industry Leader. There’s always exceptions to the rule, but in most cases developing your website as an authoritative website takes time and internal work. Did I say internal work?

The success of your website can’t be based strictly on the performance of your SEO or Internet Marketing firm. I say this with the experience of having “good bosses” (clients) and poor ones. The results are usually dictated by the team effort that is undergone. A combination of your Internet Marketing firms expertise and your Industry expertise is needed to build the web traffic that is required to become an authoritative website.

In todays day and age an Internet Marketing plan should include:

– Search Engine Optimization
– Reputation Management
